A New Beginning

The title of my post is "A New Beginning" because I am officially going to be closing out another chapter in my life in the next couple of weeks. As I look back on the two years that I have spent in Milwaukee, I am shocked at how fast time flies and how important relationships are. I have had many definitive chapters in my life: graduating high school, graduating college, getting my first job. Now that I'm moving onto my second job, I am really anxious to see how things will turn out and how living Seth, my husband of almost a year, will actually be! I am so excited to just have a new beginning with him in Arizona and I think it will make us a stronger couple for having this opportunity.

Yesterday was my last day of work at EY...well, technically my last work day was Thursday and I just went in on Friday morning in order to turn in my computer and my paperwork. It was very bittersweet because I had had a great last two weeks at the firm. I left on a high note and so it made me sad to say goodbye to my desk, the supply room, etc. knowing that I will most likely never return to Big 4 Public Accounting. I posted on my facebook wall that it was bittersweet and my friend, Phil, a former EY'er said, it won't be bittersweet come Monday and I thought about it and I think I agree with the sentiment.

During the day, I packed up items and just relaxed and then I had a little going away happy hour in which I got to see the people that I had gotten to know over the past couple of weeks. I was really happy that I got to spend time with my favorite people at EY. For dinner, we went to Barbiere's and I just love this pizza joint. Our friend, Chris' parents have been going there since they were young and they have the best garlic bread ever. Chris has been talking about it forever, but we didn't make it out for our first time until a couple of weeks ago. I'm definitely going to miss it when we are in Tucson. However, there will be no shortage of good Mexican food which makes me very excited.

I am writing this blog while I am at the airport and I decided to just snap a picture of Seth with his one leftover breadstick from Sbarro's. I love the episode of the Office where Michael is in New York City and he says that he loves this awesome neighborhood pizza place and he walks up to a Sbarro's. I decided to pack my own lunch as I have been eating pretty poorly lately and I packed a PB&J sandwich, strawberries, and veggie booty..which reminds me of Cheetos, but they're smaller and supposedly healthier.

For those of you who have started reading this blog, know that writing is a hobby that I'd really like to pick up and so this blog is going to include thoughts on people, travel, and life itself. It's always nice to write things down and get your thoughts and feelings onto paper or a blog. I used to journal every night as a kid and when I go back to my parent's place, I laugh at the thoughts and the things that I wrote. It's something that I can one day show my kids and they'll think, mom, you were ridiculous.

And to end my first post, I took snapped a picture of what Seth is doing while I am blogging:
